Race Place began in 1995 as a family business with a goal of assisting ski racers in developing their potential. With three racers in our family it was natural to become deeply involved in the sport and have spent many hours on the hills, in tuning rooms, talking to you (our customers) and in our "back shop."
Throughout our experience, we saw a great need in the ski and snowboard racing community for quality, accurate, easy to use tuning tools and reliable tuning information. BEAST Tuning was developed to meet this need.

It's our 18th yearly catalog and it's been an exciting venture and way of life. Our kids, Eric and Kelsey, had a lot of success racing and we had fun chasing them around the race circuits and meeting many new people.
Kelsey has a new career in Portland and also part-time coaching at Mt. Bachelor. Eric is in his 2nd year with the US Ski Team as Equipment Manager and a Coach of the D-Team. He and Kiley had our Grandson Kiger on skis last May at 19 months. Might be a little “Homey” in a few years and get us back traveling the race circuit.
Our Race Place cover contest had many entries and it was difficult to make just one choice. So we gave out the one promised $1,500 award and chose three additional athletes with an award of $750 and two at $250 each. Read their stories here: Cover Stories
